After8 - to be fair, you'd quite like their votes back in May.

kronic

I wouldn't say we were politically correct, it's more the fact that for a lot of us we know the country moved on and it was time we did too.

Some conservative activists haven't liked the modernisation so they've found a new home for themselves. They're welcome to stay there.

Hi comma,

No i can't tell you why. Maybe you want to write to him and ask him?

alpha,

Thanks for your kind words.

SLS

a higher public sector means a higher deficit. Which means more debt not less.

let us all know what you'd would have cut in order to further lower the deficit.

I think the Tories still represent right of centre but now add a large dollop of politically correct neoliberalism.

Re: Budget 2015
To be fair, anyone who thinks the modern Tories represent the Right is retarded.

A battle of mediocrity for the so-called centre, with neither party seemingly believing in anything in particular, in case they offend someone. Nothing to support, lots to dislike.

I enjoying mocking both to be fair, especially precious middle class liberals. But right wing Tories who still believe New Labour represent the Left are the most amusing/retarded.

Its a fair reflection that LW voters tend to come from an impoverished background, that certainly rings true on the site.

Re: Budget 2015
Is it better arguing with LW mongs then Kronic?

I understand the dislike of poncey Conservatives but surely they are doing a much better job than Labour ever would?

I'm sure that under a Labour government the debt would have been much higher and as everyone that takes out loans knows, they have to be paid back sometime. So how else can UK do that?

The French have an answer. 57% of their GDP goes on government expenditure compared to about 42% and falling in UK. The French economy is fucked because they will not accept cuts in government expenditure...

Fact is most western governments bribe their voters by paying out too much in benefits they no longer can afford to pay for.

It's pointless arguing with the right wing mongs on here. It's like debating with a run over hedgehog.

You've missed my point. We are told the deficit is halved (Yes A8, as % of GDP is mentioned, when it suits) but after huge swaths of austerity, the Government hasn't got a handle on the Uk's finances.

They have missed every single forecast, on every single financial measure they tell us they have under control.

I understand how the economy works, which is why I pointed out how short sighted it is to slash the size of the public sector.

As bad as Miliband is, you have to be pretty stupid to vote for this Tory party. where have all the good Tories gone?
Get After8 in as leader.
He'd get my vote

They said this:

"My guess is that even under a majority Conservative government cuts in public service spending will not turn out much more dramatic than those seen over this Parliament"

Lying fuck.

'The respected Institute for Fiscal Studies also found the Tory cuts to public spending are set to be double the size of anything inflicted so far.'

No they didn't. Nice to see Balls' claim that it was 4 1/2 times has now been forgotten.
